History
Between 1979-1988, the company founders performed preliminary research and development, which resulted in the development of several successful prototypes demonstrating Elspec's unique technologies. In 1988, Elspec Engineering Ltd. was founded as a private venture, followed, in 1993, by the launching of commercial sales and manufacturing. In May 2004, the company had its IPO and became a publicly traded company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE:Elspec). The company has established two subsidiaries (see Worldwide Locations). Currently, the company markets its Power Quality Solutions and Power Quality Analysis products worldwide through a network of Authorized Agents.

Certifications
The company is ISO 9001/2000 certified (see certifications for Elspec Engineering and Elspec Technologies) and all products comply with international safety, environmental and electromagnetic standards such as CE and UL (as applicable).
